The Museum of Imagined Worlds was founded in 1871 in the pursuit of knowledge that lies beyond the boundaries of accepted maps and taxonomies. Since then, our expeditions and correspondents have ventured into the unknown to document places, species and civilisations that exist beyond conventional record.
Each discovery is preserved as a plate: researched, catalogued and archived to museum standard, then made available as a fine art print for those who wish to keep a record of their own.
We do not seek to convince, but to record. Whether these discoveries challenge what is known or expand it, it remains as it should be, for future minds to decide.
